What if Digital World is Colorless

Well I Google some question but I never got their answers like this one “What If Digital World is just Black and White?” I don’t found the answer but it doesn’t mean we can’t get its answer. Let’s try to find out the solution of this interesting question. Before we start this blog I want to ask can you imagine today’s world in black and white mode.

As you may know that the colors that we see on our screen are made of 3 colors combination i.e. Red, Green and Blue which is also known as RGB. We get the new color by increasing or decreasing their values, these values are ranged from 0 to 255. The change in value of Red, Green and Blue is written in the format of (255, 255, 255) or specified in Hex Color Code.

Do you know when there was no colored televisions people dream in Black and White Mode. This means that digital screen impact our mind also. So let’s try to find out the impact of digital screen in our daily life.

Most of you will choose image A just because image A is subconsciously picked by our brain. Because color red is associated with love our mind knows that similarly colors can influence your mood. And yes psychology states that “Color is powerful communication tool and can be used to signal action, influence mood, and even influence physiological reactions. Certain colors have been associated with increased blood pressure, increased metabolism and eyestrain.” Now think of today’s advertisement in Black and White mode on Internet and Television. Do you eve show interest in these advertisers? Of course not because our mind is addicted to colors and advertisers know which color they have to pick to make their advertisement more attractive that increases chance that viewers will purchase their service or good. It might be difficult for advertisers to create attractive ads without colors on Internet.

As you have read above that colors influence our mind that means it has some impact on Mental Health. As you know colors are used to express the emotions like color red indicates sign of danger and love as well. If you see Red Cross your mind gets alert that there is some danger ahead. In another case woman wearing red dress got the more attention of men.
As people spend their most of time with digital screen what they see on their digital screens can impact their mental health. Colors increase the stimulation in our brain. We react both physiologically and psychologically to what we see. Let’s took an example of two game one is colored GUI and other is colorless GUI. Would you ever like to play colorless games then colored games? I know you what you will choose.

Being a graphic designer I can’t think of digital world without graphics or colorless graphics, I never choose this profession. Just think of digital world without graphic from your mobile phone apps to NFT artworks digital world everything obviously look terrible or there would no professions like graphic design and NFT will never be in trend. We have discussed some important impacts of colorless digital world. Now let’s talk what else is going to be affected by this. The e-commerce stores, before purchasing any products from e-commerce stores your first choice is color and quality of products. You never want to purchase the colorless products without actually observing it by your eyes. Another industry that is going to be affected by this is the gaming industry which is around $152.1 billion globally. There can a possibility that the addiction of games might be decreased if they are colorless and this may be good for today’s generation as we know how badly they are addicted to online games. Every country is trying to overcome this problem by passing law and regulation on gaming. Well games are good for mental health but their addiction can rein down your brain as well as your career.
